about

I suppose this is really an album..it’s about 40 minutes long…
It’s a compilation of pieces that span the last ten years...‘Lucky Black Cat’ is just me on electric and acoustic guitar and vocals. ‘The Cave’ is a new version of a song from ‘Blue eyed Ruby’…but with wonderful percussion added from Dr Z…who lives in Greece with his wonderful partner Lynxy..together they added this lovely Latin vibe over the internet. ‘Travel Tags’ used to be called ‘Polar Bears’ and it’s a favourite song from ‘Songs From A Taxi’ which I thought deserved a dusting down…‘Dad You Don’t Need It’ was written a couple of years ago and once again DrZ added congas…and Chris Rodel put some lovely electric bass on too. ‘Water Bears’ and ‘Catmando’ were both recorded on my mobile phone. ‘Passing Clouds’ comes from my ‘Shimmerings’ period of ambient recordings...part of it was recorded on my mobile phone…the rest was created with Tony Wice engineering at Spring Road, Bournemouth. ’The Never Ending gleam’ was also from the Shimmerings sessions…it features two electric guitars….
Thanks to Andy le Vien at RMS Studios for tweaking the sound.
